Jan Update!

Well here we are - the first ever update on RecHound!

Welcome to all those who have found us and are supporting the development of this application. We've received a great deal of love from the community and it's really guiding us towards making a truly fantastic app!

So here's where we are sitting - right now our application is heavily in the development phase. We are currently finalising a basic skeleton of the application and its features. This has been in the works for about 4 months at this stage, with still a little way to go here.

Once this is complete, we will put a few beautiful design touches on it and get our app out into the Alpha stage!

The milestones we are targeting are as follows:

  1. Get Alpha tested! This will involve 2 or 3 dedicated testers from our community trying to break what we have developed. This phase will be heavily based on bug squashing, curating design elements and communicating quickly through a feedback loop.

  2. Beta safe than sorry! This Beta testing phase will involve up to 25 community testers. Those who have requested access via our social media posts will be contacted at this stage on how they can test and be a part of this process (at no cost of course!). We will provide future price discounts to our Apha and Beta testers to help incentivise a really active user base - we live for the feedback in this phase!

  3. Become a Xero App Partner. This is when the fun really begins! We will have our application certified within the Xero App Store and available for purchase by the general public.

We are working as quick as we can to get through these phases, as we know people are really excited to try the base features we can provide in our application. Our initial launch aims to provide a simple reconciliation function along with a simple balance sheet management tool. We intend to add some significant time saving features down the track which we are really excited about. Some ideas we have floating around include balancing journal postings, algorithms for auto-reconciliation, loan schedule implementation, cross-entity reconciliation for IC accounts and many more. The challenge here will be prioritising which key features come first - we will be as transparent as possible with the features we are working on at any given time.

Please hit us up with any questions or ideas you may have, we love hearing from you!

Drop us a line by filling out the form at the bottom of our website :)

Thanks again for all the support, and here's to a great 2023!

Alex
