How do I get started?

You can get set up by following our getting started guide here

Do I need to manually sync?

Short answer - somteimes. An auto-sync occurs every hour in the background. If you'd like to see transactions you've just posted in Xero, we recommend syncing manually. Unfortunately due to Xero's daily API limits, we are unable to sync as changes occur.

Why do my reconciliations need to add to zero?

Reconciled transactions need to add to zero in order to ensure that all the transactions that make up the ending balance of the account remain in the transaction listing of the account.

My dates are not in the right format - how can I change them?

This is a browser setting. If using Google Chrome or Edge, head to settings and into "Languages" on the left hand side. Select the "Add Languages" button. For DD-MM-YY, add English (AUS) or English (UK). For MM-DD-YY, add English (United States). Once added, select the 3 dot menu next to the language you just added, and check the box "Display Google Chrome in this language". A relaunch button will appear, press that and your date format will be updated.

What happens if I modify or void a transaction in Xero that has been reconciled?

This one gets a bit complex.

If you MODIFY a transaction that has been reconciled:

- If nothing changes on your transaction (ie date, description, amount, account etc), then the reconciled transaction will remain reconciled.

- If you have changed the date, description, amount or account of the transaction, then the reversal will come up in your transaction listing marked in bright red, with the status "Reconciliation Error". We urge you to go into your reconciled items and remove the initial line in this case. Once that has been done, the initial transaction and the reversal will both dissappear from your transaction listing. The new updated transaction will also show up in your transaction listing with a blank status.

If you DELETE/VOID a transaction that has been reconciled:

The reversal will come up in your transaction listing marked in bright red, with the status "Reconciliation Error". We urge you to go into your reconciled items and remove the initial line in this case. Once that has been done, the initial transaction and the reversal will both dissappear from your transaction listing.

What happens if I modify or void a transaction in Xero that is in my supporting items?

This one acts very similar to the above.

If you MODIFY a transaction that has been added to a supporting line:

- If nothing changes on your transaction (ie date, description, amount, account etc), then the supporting line will remain with nothing changing.

- If you have changed the date, description, amount or account of the transaction, then the reversal will come up in your transaction listing marked in bright yellow, with the status "Support Error". We urge you to go into your supporting items and remove the initial line in this case. Once that has been done, the initial transaction and the reversal will both dissappear from your transaction listing. The new updated transaction will also show up in your transaction listing with a blank status.

If you DELETE/VOID a transaction that has been added to a supporting line:

The reversal will come up in your transaction listing marked in bright yellow, with the status "Support Error". We urge you to go into your supporting items and remove the initial line in this case. Once that has been done, the initial transaction and the reversal will both dissappear from your transaction listing.

Can I group accounts together?

Not at this stage. This will be implemented as a priority. Check out our blogs for more information.

What happens when I change/ remove an account in Xero?

Only accounts with zero balances are able to be removed from with Xero. These accounts would not appear in your trial balance anyway due to their zero balance.

Any changes to accounts will be reflected upon next sync (eg name changes).

What happens when I add a new GL account into my Xero entity?

New accounts will automatically appear in RecHound. If an account has not been actioned and has a balance of zero, it will be removed from the trial balance for that month.

How do I manage my trial and my users.

New accounts will automatically appear in RecHound. If an account has not been actioned and has a balance of zero, it will be removed from the trial balance for that month.
