You've asked, so here it is. A list of everything we're working on, and how we have prioritised it.
You will be seeing a number of (hopefully!) welcomed changes to RecHound in the next few months. Really excited to be sharing them with you now - some of these will be game changers.
👍 Prepayment Auto-Matching
RecHound can now automatically match your amortisation journals to prepayments. The matching engine scores each potential match based on both amount and description, and presents results in a single grid with confidence percentages. You can review and override matches before confirming, significantly reducing manual prepayment reconciliation work.

🫡 Transaction Auto-Matching
This one is a big one.
Press the button, matches are found automatically within your account. Take your transaction listing from 100x transactions down to just the ones that matter in only 2x clicks.
It’s a complicated algorithm, but not only do we look for one-to-one matches, but we also look for one-to-many.
For example, just say you have PAYG to pay every 3 months - we can find all 3x monthly expense transactions and match them off to the quarterly payment.
We think this one will save users a ton of time searching for entries that net off to zero in their clearing accounts.
To all unmatched transactions...you're on notice.

🎨 Coat of paint
Our visuals are in need of an overhaul. Keeping things familiar but just upgrading the visuals. Here’s a sneak peak of how our homepage will be looking once we push this change through. All existing functionality will remain…just looking sharper.

📋 Manual Journal Posting
Post variance journals directly to Xero from within RecHound. Select the accounts you want to post to, choose whether to post as a summary line or individual lines, and submit - all without leaving the reconciliation screen. Includes a built-in sync after posting so your data is immediately up to date.
Release priority - High
📃 Accruals Register
RecHound will soon give you a dedicated accruals register for each workpaper period, supporting three types of accruals - once-off, monthly recurring, and accumulating (spread across multiple periods with even or manual splits).
You can attach supporting documents, assign tracking categories, and add notes. When you're done, take a snapshot to lock the support for that period, and generate a ready-to-import journal for Xero with the option to post a reversing entry.

📝 Workpaper Notes & To-Dos
Add notes and to-do items directly to your workpapers. Cards support recurring due dates (e.g. last day of the month, a specific weekday), can be reordered by dragging, and sit in independently scroll-able columns so Notes and To-Dos never get in each other's way. Everything stays attached to the workpaper period it belongs to.

📊 Xero Reports Viewer & Export
View your Aged Payables and Aged Receivables reports from Xero directly inside RecHound. Save snapshots as your supporting documentation, export to Excel (including comments and GL variance data), and attach reports to workpapers.
Release priority - low
✅ Auto-Certify
Accounts whose balances haven't changed from the prior period can now be certified automatically. Admins can configure which accounts or account groups are eligible for auto-certify, removing the need to manually certify stable, unchanged balances each period.
